Editorial Policy
Last updated: 02 September 2026
This page explains how KulinerBDG produces content — recipes, articles, and recommendations — and the standards we uphold to maintain accuracy, transparency, and value for readers. We've made this policy open so readers understand where our content comes from and how we ensure its quality.
1. Editorial Mission
Our mission is simple: to provide recipes and culinary guides from around the world — both Indonesian (Nusantara) and international — presented in Indonesian that is clear, accurate, easy to follow, and halal. We target readers ranging from beginner home cooks to everyday cooking enthusiasts who need a quick yet trustworthy reference.
2. How Content Is Made
Every recipe and article on KulinerBDG goes through several stages before publication:
a. Research and topic ideation. Ideas come from trending culinary searches, reader requests, regional specialty dishes, seasonal festivals, and the editorial team's personal experience.
b. AI-assisted drafting. To speed up production and maintain a consistent structure, the initial draft stage is assisted by an AI model (Claude by Anthropic). We guide the AI with prompts that emphasize halal context, Indonesian local wisdom, and standard ingredient/step formatting.
c. Human editor review. Every draft is reviewed by our editors: verifying the feasibility of ingredients and measurements, checking the sequence and cooking times, adjusting language style, ensuring no haram (non-halal) ingredients are included, and removing or correcting any dubious claims.
d. Cover images. Cover images are created using an AI generator with prompts describing the specific dish. Editors check the image's accuracy before publication; inaccurate images are replaced or regenerated.
e. Publication and maintenance. Content that passes review is scheduled for publication. Once live, content may still be updated if we find corrections needed, receive reader feedback, or discover new relevant information.
3. Transparency about AI Use
We believe readers deserve to know the role of AI in our content production. Here's what we uphold:
• We use AI as a drafting aid — not as a replacement for human editorial judgment.
• Every AI-assisted piece of content always goes through human review before going live.
• We do not publish raw AI content without checking it.
• AI-generated photos/images are marked and their status as illustrations is acknowledged (see Disclaimer).
• We do not use AI to fabricate testimonials, fake reviews, or copy other people's sources without attribution.
4. Recipe Quality Standards
Every recipe we publish is expected to meet the following criteria:
• Complete ingredients with reasonable measurements — servings, units (grams/ml/tbsp/tsp), and substitution alternatives where possible.
• Sequential and clear steps — beginner home cooks can follow along without needing additional references.
• Realistic cooking time estimates.
• Technical tips at critical points (temperature, doneness cues, how to avoid common mistakes).
• Halal — no haram ingredients used (pork, alcohol, etc.). If sensitive ingredients such as non-pork meat are mentioned, we emphasize halal sourcing.
5. Article Quality Standards
Non-recipe articles (culinary history, tips, ingredient guides, place reviews, etc.) are expected to:
• Be based on verifiable facts;
• Use natural Indonesian language, free from exaggerated claims or clickbait;
• Mention relevant context (region, history, or reasons why a dish is popular);
• Not claim exaggerated health benefits without basis (e.g. "cures disease").
6. Corrections and Updates
If we find an error after publication — whether reported by readers or found by ourselves — corrections are made directly on the relevant page. Substantial changes will be marked with an update date. Readers can report errors via the /contact page or email kulinerbdgcom@gmail.com. We appreciate every piece of feedback.
7. Editorial Independence from Advertising & Affiliates
KulinerBDG displays third-party ads (Google AdSense) and affiliate links to e-commerce platforms. We affirm that:
• Advertisers or affiliate partners have no editorial influence over our content.
• Product recommendations are based on our team's judgment, not payment.
• Sponsored content (if any in the future) will be clearly marked as paid content.
See the Affiliate Disclosure page for details on our commercial relationships.
8. User-Submitted Content
Users can submit recipes via the "Submit Recipe" feature. All submissions are reviewed by an editor before going live. We may edit the title, description, or formatting to keep it consistent with our site standards, while still respecting attribution to the original submitter.
9. Contact the Editor
Questions, corrections, or suggestions about editorial content can be sent to kulinerbdgcom@gmail.com. We welcome reader feedback.
