๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions
- 1 Slice the chicken breast lengthwise into thin strips so it cooks quickly and absorbs the seasoning well.
- 2 Mix the chicken with minced garlic, yogurt, paprika powder, cumin, coriander, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
- 3 Heat a skillet or grill pan with a little oil. Cook the chicken over medium-high heat, flipping occasionally, until cooked through and slightly browned at the edges, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4 While the chicken is cooking, make the sauce by mixing the yogurt, grated garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Stir until well combined and keep in the fridge.
- 5 Warm the pita bread briefly in a dry skillet until soft and warm.
- 6 Layer the lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion on top of the pita bread, then add the sliced kebab chicken.
- 7 Drizzle with the yogurt sauce, roll the pita bread up tightly, and the kebab is ready to enjoy.
๐ก Tips
โข The longer you marinate the chicken, the more the flavors soak in - aim for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
โข Use a non-stick skillet or grill pan so the chicken doesn't burn but still gets a bit of crisp texture on the edges.
โข If you like it spicy, add chili sauce or chili powder when serving.
โข Pita bread can be swapped for tortillas or naan bread, depending on your preference.
