👩🍳 Instructions
- 1 Beat the butter and powdered sugar until pale, soft, and fluffy
- 2 Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating until well combined
- 3 Add the vanilla extract
- 4 Sift together the flour, cornstarch, milk powder, and salt
- 5 Add to the butter mixture and stir with a spatula until well combined
- 6 Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip
- 7 Pipe flower or S shapes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- 8 Top each flower with a piece of cherry in the center, if desired
- 9 Bake in a 150°C (300°F) oven for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden
- 10 Don't let them brown too much, as these cookies should stay pale yellow
💡 Tips
• The butter should be at room temperature so it's easy to beat
• If the dough is hard to pipe out of the piping bag, let it sit at room temperature for a bit
• Good kue semprit have a clean, defined shape and don't spread out while baking
