  • 200 grams, diced watermelon
  • 200 grams, diced cantaloupe
  • 1 whole, diced red apple
  • 10 pieces, halved red grapes
  • 1 whole, sliced into rounds banana
  • 1 whole, diced harum manis mango (sweet Indonesian mango)
  • 150 ml plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, white (optional)
  • 3 tbsp, for topping shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp, for topping roasted almonds, chopped
  • to taste for garnish fresh mint leaves

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1 Wash all the fruit thoroughly and drain until completely dry so the salad doesn't turn out too watery when served.
  2. 2 Cut the watermelon, cantaloupe, apple, mango, and banana into medium dice so they're easy to scoop with a spoon. Halve the grapes.
  3. 3 For the sauce, mix the plain yogurt, honey, lime juice, and condensed milk (if using) in a small bowl. Stir until well combined and smooth.
  4. 4 Taste the sauce and adjust the sweet-tart balance by adding more honey or lime juice to your liking.
  5. 5 Place all the fruit pieces into a large bowl, except for the banana (add the banana later so it doesn't brown too quickly).
  6. 6 Pour the yogurt sauce over the fruit and gently toss with a large spoon or spatula until evenly coated—don't stir too roughly or the fruit will get mushy.
  7. 7 Add the banana pieces last and toss briefly.
  8. 8 Transfer the salad to a serving bowl and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped almonds on top.
  9. 9 Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves and serve immediately while chilled for the best experience.

💡 Tips

• Chill the fruit and yogurt in the refrigerator before mixing so the salad tastes even more refreshing when served.

• Use firm-textured fruits like cantaloupe, watermelon, and apple so the salad doesn't turn out too soft and watery.

• For a lower-calorie version, replace the condensed milk with extra honey or skip it altogether.

• This salad tastes best enjoyed right after mixing; if you want to prep ahead, keep the sauce and fruit separate and combine them just before serving.
