  • 300 grams ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp instant black coffee or strong brewed coffee
  • 50 ml hot water
  • 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (white)
  • 150 ml cold full-cream liquid milk
  • 4 tbsp Milo powder
  • 3 tbsp Milo granules/flakes for topping
  • 1 tbsp powdered creamer (optional, for extra creaminess)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1 Brew the coffee with hot water, stir well until dissolved, then set aside and let it cool slightly.
  2. 2 Put the ice cubes into a blender or food processor, and shave/blend until the texture resembles fine snow. If you don't have a special ice-shaving blender, use a manual ice shaver little by little.
  3. 3 Mix the shaved ice with the sweetened condensed milk and powdered creamer, stirring well while pressing/molding it with a spoon or your hands (using plastic) so the texture becomes firm and smooth, forming a ball.
  4. 4 Shape the pressed ice into a ball or fist shape, and place it in a serving glass.
  5. 5 Slowly pour the brewed coffee over the ice ball, then also drizzle with the cold full-cream liquid milk.
  6. 6 Sprinkle the top of the ice ball evenly with Milo powder, then add Milo granules/flakes as a crunchy topping.
  7. 7 Serve immediately while cold with a long spoon so it can be enjoyed while slowly stirring the mixture of coffee, milk, and Milo.

💡 Tips

• Use ice cubes frozen from boiled water so the shaved result is cleaner and doesn't melt as easily.

• If you don't have a special ice-shaving blender, you can use ready-made crystal ice/ice ball products sold at convenience stores.

• For a stronger coffee flavor, use robusta coffee or an espresso shot as the base brew.

• Serve immediately after making, as the ice ball melts quickly, especially in hot weather.
