👩🍳 Instructions
- 1 Dough: Combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt, then pour in the warm water and olive oil. Knead for 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 2 Cover and let rest for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- 3 Topping: Combine all the topping ingredients in a bowl and mix well — the consistency should be like a spreadable paste.
- 4 Divide the dough into 6 portions and shape into balls.
- 5 Roll out each ball as thin as possible on a floured surface — it should be very thin, almost transparent.
- 6 Spread a thin, even layer of the meat topping over the entire surface.
- 7 Bake in an oven at the highest temperature (250°C/480°F) for 6-8 minutes, until the edges are crispy and the meat is cooked through.
- 8 Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley.
- 9 Serve with lettuce, sliced tomato, and a squeeze of lemon.
- 10 Roll it up like a wrap and enjoy!
💡 Tips
• Roll the dough out AS THIN as possible — this is what makes lahmacun different from regular pizza.
• The oven needs to be at its highest temperature so the flatbread gets crispy in a short amount of time.
• The right way to eat it: pile lettuce and tomato on top, squeeze on some lemon, roll it up, and take a bite!
